| San Juan Bautista State Historic Park is located in San Juan Bautista, California. San Juan Bautista is an hour south of San Jose near US 101. There are really two things to see - The State Historic Park and the Mission. The park is owned and operated by the State of California. The Mission is still a functioning Catholic church. | |
Above right - Plaza Hotel - This is where you pay the park's entrance fees. Above left - Plaza Stables - contains all the stuff you need for horse based transportation. Right - Back side of the Zanetta House. A number of the rooms have displays of period furniture. Lower left - blacksmith shop behind the stables. Lower right - Visitor entry to the mission is through this hallway. |
