See all of the pictures taken in and around the Casino here!

Quinault Beach Resort & Casino is located near Ocean Shores , Washington.  Ocean Shores is on the Pacific Coast of Washington State .   We selected the hotel based on their official web site (Quinault Beach Resort & Casino). At the time we made our selection, the hotel claimed to be a four star hotel. I don't think so. However, they are a very solid three star hotel. Our room rate for a weekend room facing the ocean was around $140 per night. We felt the cost was reasonable.

We didn't do any gambling so we can't say how good the casino part of the property is. We did walk through the casino. The machines appeared to be new and in good repair. We didn't hear any winner's bells going off. There were some 5¢ slots. There were plenty of 25¢ slots.

There are some aspects of the official web site that we found a bit misleading. I'll point those out below.

Above left and right - the television armoire. Open and shut.

Below left - our bed after a night of sleeping. The king size bed was a pillow top type. Soft and firm at the same time.

Below right - The gas fireplace is at the foot of the bed. The fireplace has a screen on both sides of it. That is, you can see the fireplace while snoozing in bed and while hanging out in the sitting area of the room. Take note - the room description on the official web site shows picture of a beautiful fireplace above the room description. If you are like us, you would assume that a picture of a room fireplace would go with the room description. The fireplace picture is of the fireplace in the lobby. It is very nice.

Right - The Internet connection must be activated and will cost around $10 per day. There is a tiny desk to set your computer on. The hotel desk can provide the necessary cable. If you don't return the cable, they will charge you $5. To the right of the tiny desk is a sliding glass door to the "deck."

Above left - You can see out the sliding glass balcony door and window by standing on the bed and looking over the gas fireplace mantle. With the sliding glass door open, you can hear the ocean.

Above right - We left the sliding glass door open sometimes while we were in the room. In addition to the wonderful view, you get the brisk ocean air delivered on the wings of a gentle breeze. During storms I would imagine that the brisk open air is rammed into every crack and slit and whistles through the space around the closed door.

Below left and right - The so-called balcony. The balcony is rather narrow (approximately 2 inches). There is no way for someone to be on the balcony with the sliding glass door closed. There are some rooms with real balconies. Just don't expect one when you check in.
