This is a nice park with loads of wildlife. The park is along the Llano River. They
have many good campsites. The only drawback is they don't have sewer hookups at the sites.
Another aspect of the park that may be problematic during wet weather is the park
entrance. The park entrance is a bridge that is made to be a low water crossing. Any rain
at all will close the park entrance.
They have apparently moderately tame turkeys. The area is a breeding area for wild
turkeys.
Since this is Hill Country, there are also deer. So many that you have to be very
careful driving.
