The Shoji Tabuchi Show was really entertaining. Shoji Tabuchi is born and raised in Japan. He studied classical music in Japan. He mostly plays the violin. He played a number of other instruments during his show. He is naturally funny in a cute foreigner sort of way. I found his show high energy. All of the performers acted like they were having a great time and really happy to be performing for us.

Shoji Tabuchi's theater is in Branson, Missouri. While in Branson, we stayed at the Branson KOA. We also went to Mickey Gilley's show.

We stayed in the Branson KOA while in Branson. Since we bought our tickets through the KOA, they provided transportation to and from the shows we went to.

You can't miss Shoji Tabuchi's Theatre when driving by. The building is very fancy. To the right is the lobby.

On the way over to the theatre we were talking to some couples in the KOA van with us. One of the things they mentioned about the theater was the restrooms. "You must make sure you go into the restrooms" they said.

I went into the Men's Room not certain what I would find there. Below right is the pool room inside the Men's Room. This isn't all that unusual. Below left are the sinks. You can't really see the leather over stuffed chairs facing the sinks. Very fancy.

The bit that was over the top was the crushed ice in the urinals. No, I didn't take a picture. It was just too weird.

The show opens with Taiko drummers. Then Shoji pops out of the floor and plays an ancient Japanese guitar or banjo like instrument (left). Then he switches to his violin (below left).

After the Japanese segment (sung in Japanese), Shoji introduces his band and starts performing American style music in English (below right). Shoji's English is cute.

Shoji's show has a number of surprises. Things are constantly jumping out of the ceiling - bubbles, confetti, balloons, people in costumes and the like. Below left are bubbles. Shoji Tabuchi does a pretty funny (because it was lame) Lawrence Welk imitation. Below right is confetti. Sometimes it looks like snow and sometimes it looks like confetti.

The part of the show I liked the best came after intermission. They asked us not to take any pictures. It looked like there was fish swimming all around the theater. The performers were wearing these fish "costumes" and they walked all around the audience and on stage. It really looked like schools of fish swimming around. Very cool. Sorry, no pictures.
