| Bastrop State Park is located near Bastrop,
Texas. Bastrop is in Bastrop County Texas which is
near Austin, Texas. The Texas State Parks web site has information and a map of the park. We
were in Bastrop State Park in
February 2003. We were here last week, and the
week before and the week before
and the week before as well. Our trailer has been here for all of November. We had been driving up on Friday nights and heading back Sunday afternoons. This weekend it was Thanksgiving. We arrived Wednesday evening. The weather has been absolutely great. It has been in the low seventies during the day. At night it has been getting into the thirties and forties. Other campers around us brought Christmas lights and set them up. The next row down is our gazebo all lit up with two florescent trouble lights hung from the tent poles inside. South of Bastrop is a Car Museum. It was much nicer than we had expected. |
