| Bastrop State Park is located near Bastrop,
Texas. Bastrop is in Bastrop County Texas which is
near Austin, Texas. The Texas
State Parks web site has information
and a map of the park.
We were in Bastrop State Park in February 2003.
We decided to stay in the Copperas Creek Camping Area this time around. When
we visited Buesher State Park three weeks
ago, we drove (12 miles) up to Bastrop to figure out which campsite we wanted. We
decided that campsite number 75 was the best in the Park. Since we were arriving at
the park on a Saturday, we didn't really expect to get that spot. It was one of the
three open spots when we arrived. I guess we must have been living right. Our trailer will be here for all of November. We will be driving up on Friday nights and heading back Sunday afternoons. Thanksgiving weekend will be a bit different. We will be arriving on Wednesday evening. Out campsite is shown below. |
